The Dubai Culture and Arts Authority successfully concluded its annual summer camp, organized at Dubai Public Library branches under the theme “Our Summer is Culture and Creativity.” The camp offered a diverse program of educational and recreational activities aimed at enriching knowledge, enhancing creativity, and ensuring enjoyable summer experiences for participants.

Targeting children and adolescents aged three to 18, the camp featured both virtual and physical workshops in Arabic and English to reach a wide audience. The program, which included 251 activities, saw remarkable success, attracting over 3,000 participants and achieving a satisfaction rate of 97 percent, as expressed by participants and their parents.
Held from August 1-28 across all Dubai Public Library branches, the camp offered specialized workshops in various fields, including creativity, reading, technology, heritage, personal skill development, and other entertaining and educational activities.
Eiman Al-Hammadi, acting manager of the libraries affairs section at Dubai Culture, expressed her happiness with the success of this year’s program and the number of participants. She praised the efforts of public library employees and contributors who helped achieve Dubai Culture’s vision of libraries as ideal environments for culture, science, and knowledge. Al-Hammadi highlighted that the camp achieved several objectives, notably encouraging students to invest their summer time in useful activities and providing them with new life skills to enhance their knowledge.
The summer camp was part of Dubai Culture’s efforts to empower future generations with cultural and knowledge-based activities, foster a love of reading, discover and develop talents, and raise a generation connected to authentic Emirati heritage and equipped with future leadership tools.
